Abstract
an exchange of experience and ideas among adult educators of many lands on methods of adult education, with special attention to means of promoting international understanding. There were fifty delegates from 19 countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Persia, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United States of America, and an observer from China. At the opening ceremonies the facade of the hotel was bright with the flågs of these and other lands. The blue and white banner of the United Nations was there, too, and we found it a solemn and inspiring experience to be working under this flag for the first time. Director of the seminar was Sven Bjorklund, dean of the People’s University of the University of Stockholm, Sweden.
