A distributed fault test method of submarine cable based on multi-resolution analysis and correlation detection is put forward to overcome the disadvanteges of the fault detection method by fiber,such as misstatement,omissions and single fault detection etc.First,the raw data collected is conducting frequency band detection using multi-resolution analysis,and the amount of submarine cable the fault time and are determined. Then each fault location is calculated for each fault detected by the correlation detection method. Finally,simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. This method can detect not only single faults,but also multiple faults existing simultaneously. So the detection accuracy is effectively improved and the false negative and false positive rates are reduced.
