Abstract
Through analysis of the changing relationship between the threshold of high-frequency extrapolation in the Wavelet Bi-cubic Interpolation Algorithm and its correspondent Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), a Wavelet Bi-cubic Interpolation Search Algorithm is proposed. The algorithm can automatically search the optimal extrapolation threshold to improve resolution and PSNR of the remote sensing image without damaging image information, which makes more favorable to observe and analyze. The experiment results prove that the PSNR of the image reconstructed by the algorithm is 6.5 dB and 2.4dB bigger than that the images reconstructed by scale-function interpolation and wavelet bi-linear interpolation respectively, and its entropy is up to 1.3 times of its original image. It is an effect algorithm to improve the spatial resolution of Optical Remote Sensing Image.
