Abstract
Nonthermal plasma technologies are being widely utilized to reduce air pollutant, such as NOx, SOx, etc. Most studies of NO removal with discharge nonthermal plasma in literatures mainly focused on the influences of the power supply frequency, efficiency and different electrode configurations, etc. In this paper a set of high voltage power and coaxial cylindertube electrode dielectric barrier discharge reactor are designed to study the influence of the position of the dielectric layer on the NO removal with the discharge nonthermal plasma. The experimental results indicate that the NO removal rate will increase with the dielectric layer closer to the central electrode when other experimental conditions are given and the thickness of the dielectric layer is fixed. The influence is more remarkable at higher gas flow rate and NO initial density.
