Abstract
The classical thermal network analogy is extended to plates bounded by two distinct states of convection, such as the walls of an enclosure. The full network is derived from an effective network representation, expressed in term of the average convection coefficient. The full network description allows the internal flow temperature of an enclosure to be treated as an unknown in analysis of convecting plates, which is an important class of problems in thermal packaging design.
