Abstract

As strengthening of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries,more and more foreign movies and TV plays are showed on our screen,which results in new translation area—audiovisual translation.This thesis probes into one aspect of E-C audiovisual translation-rhetoric.It proposes two translation methods that is literal translation and liberal translation which can be applied in audiovisual translation.The use of rhetoric in films can express people's feeling better,and let characters' speech more vivid!
