Objective To analyze the clinical effect of intramedullary nail fixation system in the treatment of GustioⅢ type tibia and fibula fractures. Methods There were 68 patients with GustioⅢ type tibia and fibula fractures in the hospital from January,2013 to January,2014. They were randomly divided into two groups at the beginning of the research. The bone traction was used in the control group.And intramedullary nail fixation system was used in the objective group. The difference of clinical effect was compared between the two groups. Results The clinical effect in the objective group was better than that in the control group. The incidence of complications was lower in the objective group,with statistical significance( P 0. 05). Conclusion It can get positive effect to use intramedullary nail fixation system in the treatment of GustioⅢ type tibia and fibula fractures. The method can make patients recovery time shorten,and reduce the complication rate.
