Abstract
Answer D. Polycystic ovarian syndrome The history, high body mass index and blood results all point to a diagnosis of polycystic ovarian syndrome. This is the most common endocrinological cause of amenorrhoea. Women should have two of the following: oligomenorrhoea or amenorrhoea, clinical or biological evidence of hyperandrogenism or polycystic appearance of ovaries on ultrasound.
