Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical significance of combined detection of expressions of HPV L1 capsid protein and p16INK4A in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN).Methods On the basis of thinner cytology(TCT) and cervical biopsy detection,226 patients were divided into inflammatory group,groups of CINⅠ,CIN Ⅱ and CIN Ⅲ,and squamous cell cancer(SCC) group.The expression of HPV L1 in TCT specimen and that of p16INK4A in cervical biopsy specimen were analyzed.Results The pathological grade was negatively correlated with HPV L1 capsid protein expression,which was positively correlated with p16INK4A expression(P0.01).Compared to SCC group,HPV L1 capsid protein expression was higher,but p16INK4A expression was lower,in CIN groups(P0.01,P0.05).Conclusion HPV L1 capsid protein and p16INK4A could be used as the biomarkers of diagnosing CIN.HPV L1(+)/p16INK4A(-) probably indicates that CIN lesions would not be in progressing or even in receding.
