Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the diagnosis value of MSCT for preoperative CTNM staging of gastric carcinoma and provide the imaging evidence for surgical operation.Methods:Ninety-two gastric carcinoma patients were scanned on 8-slices spiral-CT including plain scans and dual phase enhanced scans respectively. The source images were performed three-dimensional reconstruction. The tumor location, bound, size, estimate surrounding tissue extension and regional lymph nodes metastasis were observed. The preoperative CTNM staging of gastric carcinoma was performed. Results:MSCT was a promising technique for detection and preoperative CTNM staging for gastric carcinoma, the accuracy of the preoperative CTNM staging of gastric carcinoma and preoperative dissection estimation were 91.3%,95% respectively. Conclusions:The combination of the enhanced MSCT and 3-D reconstruction of the source image can elevate the accuracy of the TNM staging of gastric carcinoma. The technique is valuable in guiding the treatment planning and may be used as a principle method in the diagnosis of gastric carcinoma.
