Abstract
Ice jam often develops in cold region river in winter,it results in ice-flooding.It is very important to study the process of ice jam formation and evolution.Ice jam development is characteristic of strong 3-dimensional process.The 3-dimensional non-staggered curvilinear grid method is utilized in this study to model the river ice jam development process.This method eliminates the difficulties of ice jam numerical simulation caused by the irregular boundary of ice jam.
