Abstract

Abstract A number of sediment parameters, including particle size and redox potential profiles, were measured during an ecological study of the benthic invertebrate macrofauna of the lower Medway estuary, Kent. The results proved more meaningful in characterizing the sediment habitats of the benthic invertebrate fauna than did measurements on the overlying water.
