The results of design and simulation of a 0.2- THz traveling-wave tube amplifier with a grating slow- wave structure (SWS) are presented. An electron-optical system with a converging sheet electron beam is designed and beam transmission in a rectangular tunnel at over 45 mm distance is demonstrated in numerical simulation. Electromagnetic parameters of a double-grating staggered slow-wave structure are calculated. Smallsignal and large-signal gain regimes are simulated.
