Abstract
The behavior of N-2-pyridyl(maleic acid monoamide) in various hydrolyzing media has been studied. It is found that the substance is instantly hydrolyzed by 6 M CH3COOH under normal conditions to form 2-aminopyridine. The molar absorptivity of the hydrolyzate is several times higher than that of N-2-pyridyl(maleic acid monoamide) in various media, which can be used for the sensitive determination of the substance. A procedure for the spectrophotometric determination of N-2-pyridyl(maleic acid monoamide) has been developed.
N-2-pyridyl(maleic acid monoamide) hydrolyzes rapidly in 6 M CH3COOH, resulting in 2-aminopyridine, which can be sensitively determined by spectrophotometric methods.
