Abstract
In this paper, we developed a laundry-work assistance robot that supports such tasks as “drying” and “taking in” for the laundry work which is one of the “Instrumental Activities of Daily Living”. This robot has mainly three function; protecting the laundry from sudden rain by using rainfall prediction information and a water sensor, automatically taking in the laundry, and controlling these operations remotely. To reduce power consumption, a battery charged from a solar panel is used. With this robot, we can dry the laundry outside without worrying about the rain, and we can take in the laundry wherever we are.
The laundry-work assistance robot, using IoT technology, protects laundry from rain and automatically takes it in, reducing power consumption and enabling remote control.
