A distributed jitter control scheme based on the initial delay regulating is presented for the integrated service transmission via a multi-node link. The validity of the scheme is studied by means of simulation. The results show that the scheme is capable of providing a significant reduction in end-to- end delay jitter of the link, and requires smaller amount of buffer space to be allocated. Also the scheme makes the space much more uniformly distributed along channel routes.
