Abstract
Objective: To investigate the level of high sensitivity C- reactive protein (HS-CRP) in patients with different type of coronary heart disease and the effect of lipitor on it. Method: Patients with coronary heart disease were assigned into the stable angina group (SA) and acute coronary syndrome group (ACS), everyone was detected level of HS-CRP and TC, TG, LDL, HDL etc. Results: The level of CRP in ACS group is high or than that in SA group, but was much reduced in all the two groups after treated by lipitor. Conclusion: CRP can be used to evaluate the seriousity of coronary heart disease, lipitor can improve the stability of atherosclerosis by reduce level of CRP.
Lipitor improves atherosclerosis stability by reducing high sensitivity C-reactive protein levels in patients with different types of coronary heart disease.
