Abstract
Galaxy number-magnitude counts and colour distributions, from objectively defined catalogues of faint galaxies on three new fields in U, b j , r F and I pass-band, determined from COSMOS machine measurements of Anglo-American Telescope photographs, are presented. Three fields analysed in a similar way earlier are recalibrated and all six fields are used to investigate the variation in count normalization from field-to-field.
Highly CitedCOSMOS machine measurements of Anglo-American Telescope photographs provide accurate galaxy number-magnitude counts and color distributions for faint galaxies up to B=23.5 mag.
