Guan Zhong,Zi Chan,Deng Xi and Shu Xiang,the legalist masters study the governance by ceremony and put it to application.Guan Zhong argues for the four dimensions and eight books,Zi Chan a compromise between ceremony and law,declaring ceremony as the ideal law of nature,Shu Xiang the traditional governance by ceremony,and Deng Xi claiming that it is not ceremony without imitating former kings.Their practice and remarks exert great influences upon later generations.
