Abstract Values of static tensions have been measured and cathodic polarization curves have been plotted for platinum electrodes in H2O2 solutions at various pH values. The results depend upon the treatment of the platinum surface. Two different methods of surface preparation have been considered With “bare” electrodes and with “oxidized” electrodes differences have been observed for static tensions and for slopes of polarization curves.
