Abstract
Close your eyes and try to imagine who you would include in a book called Remarkable Physicists. Einstein, Newton, Bohr, Maxwell, Rutherford, Heisenberg, Schrodinger and Dirac are obvious contenders. So too are Galileo, Curie and Boltzmann. Maybe Faraday, Thomson and Young ought to feature too. Not surprisingly, all of these physicists – and more – are contained in this book by Oxford mathematician loan James.
