Abstract
Between 30 and 40% of patients diagnosed with cancer will have pain at some point in their evolution. Cancer pain is underdiagnosed, and it is the responsibility of the primary care physician and specialist to treat and give these patients the appropriate medication. The patient hurts what the patient says hurts. This concept that seems obvious, is an everyday reality and this article aims to introduce doctors to the management of this exciting and not always well managed problem [1-3].
