Abstract

As one of post-treatments of ferrous P/M parts,steam treatment is widely used for antirusting and gas-sealing processes.The common quality problems of steam antirusted parts are analyzed.By adjusting and controlling the treatment temperature,steam flow rate,treatment time and other process factors,the steam treated ferrous P/M parts can possess uniform colour and glassy surface with metallic shine,and unique antirust function.
