Abstract
Objective:To investigate the role of matrix metalloproteinase-10(MMP-10) on the invasion of human bladder cancer in vitro. Methods:siRNA against MMP-10 gene and negative control siRNA were synthesized, and transfected into human bladder cancer T24 cell line, which has high invasive potential in vitro,.The expression of MMP-10 was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot, while the invasive potential in vitro was also compared by transwell assay. Results:siRNA against MMP-10 gene effectively inhibited the expression of MMP-10 as well as the in vitro invasive potential of bladder cancer T24 cell.Conclusion:MMP-10 may promote the invasion and metastasis in bladder cancer.Inhibition of MMP-10 may provide a new basis for the prevention and treatment of metastatic bladder cancer.
