Abstract
Traditional horizontal polarization waveguide double-slot omni-directional antenna arrays have various disadvantages,such as narrow bandwidth and high cost.This paper presents an omni-directional waveguide slot antenna based on substrate integrated waveguide technology that has two back-to-back mounted radiating waveguides fed by a stripline hidden between them.This improvement enables implementation of complex parallel feeding networks and can achieve wide bandwidths while keeping omni-directional radiation.Both the geometry and the fabrication of this antenna are shown.The pattern fluctuations in the horizontal plane is less than 2.5 dB,while the bandwidth of the-10 dB return loss is 12.5%.This sandwiched antenna can be used for both high gain and wide band applications.
