Abstract
94 hopes we will make up in revolution. Writing on the other side of the failure of this revolution, however, Silverman’s hope is much more modest—that in reinvigorating the repressed ontology of photography as liquidity, in photography as analogy, a more sympathetic and interconnected social field may emerge, a concept of analogy as social compact that we can expect will be explicated in more detail in the subsequent volumes of the series.
