Abstract
The cashew nut tree, or Anacardium occidentale, belongs to the Anacardiaceae family of flowering and fruit-bearing plants. The Anacardiaceae also include poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, the mango tree, the Japanese lacquer tree, the Indian marking nut tree, and the Florida holly (1).
