Abstract
In order to research ultimate capacity of concrete columns confined with varies style FRP Laminates, 6 columns were tested, including plain concrete columns, reinforced concrete columns, concrete columns confined with carbon/glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP/CFRP) laminates, and compared the ultimate capacity of all columns. The results indicate that it restrict the deformation of columns which confined with laminates, the ultimate capacity of plain concrete columns confined with GFRP/CFRP laminates are equivalent to that of reinforced concrete columns confined with GFRP/CFRP laminates. 3figs.,4tabs.,8refs.
