In August 2005 Pat Riva was elected as Review Group chair, taking over from Patrick Le Boeuf, this required some behind the scenes activity to effect the transition, as the new chair had to get up to speed in a number of areas. As work to revise sections of FRBR, particularly for the expression entity, neared completion, it became clear that a procedure to approve modifications was required. This project was begun by the chair. The desire to understand ILS vendor's awareness of and needs in relation to FRBR implementation had been previously identified and was endorsed as a project after the Dublin, Ohio workshop in May 2005. Alan Danskin undertook the project, under the sponsorship of ICABS, designing the survey which was sent to all ILS vendors identified, with a final response deadline of Sept. 30, 2005. Returned questionnaires were received from 12 vendors from 7 countries. The results were compiled and distributed in early February 2006.
