Abstract
1-(4-Methylphenyl)-5-oxo-2-phenylpyrrolidine-2-carboxamide is a potential anti-human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. In the title compound, C18H18N2O2·CH4O, the pyrrolidine ring has a well expressed envelope conformation. The 1-(4-methylphenyl)-5-oxo-2-phenylpyrrolidine-2-carboxamide molecules are connected into infinite chains via hydrogen bonding with CH3OH solvent molecules.
1-(4-methylphenyl)-5-oxo-2-phenylpyrrolidine-2-carboxamide shows potential as an anti-HIV-1 non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor due to its well-expressed envelope conformation and hydrogen bonding with CH3OH solvent mol
