Abstract
1-Aza-1,3-bis(triphenylphosphoranylidene)propane (3), prepared in situ by the reaction of 1-[[(tri-phenylphosphoranylidene)amino]methyl]ben- zotriazole (betmip, 4) with methylidenetriphenylphosphorane followed by treatment with butyllithium, enables convenient preparations of 3H- 2-benzazepine (7), 2,3-diarylpyrroles (8), and primary allylamines (12) and (13)
