Abstract
This review summarizes the methods for preparing 1H-benzimidazole-2-acetonitriles and their reactionsin the past years, some of which have been applied to the synthesis of biologically active molecules. Themain reactions are divided into several groupsaccording to some types of the fused benzimidazoles.
