Abstract
Rh complexes were found to work as catalysts for oxidative arylation of ethylene with benzene to produce styrene by addition of acetylacetone and O2 without any oxidizing agent like Cu salt. Vinylacetate was not formed at all in spite of coexistence of acetic acid.
Study Snapshot

Oxidative coupling of N-nitrosoanilines with substituted allyl alcohols under rhodium (III) catalysis
Rhodium(III) catalysis efficiently synthesizes functional N-nitroso ortho -aryl aldehydes and ketones with low catalyst loading, high functional group tolerance, and superior reactivity of allyl alcohols towards N-nitrosoanilines.

Pd(II) and Rh(I) Catalytic Precursors for Arene Alkenylation: Comparative Evaluation of Reactivity and Mechanism Based on Experimental and Computational Studies.
Pd catalysis produces styrene more rapidly than Rh, with Pd being more selective for arene/olefin coupling, while Rh catalysis is more selective for arene/olefin coupling.
