Abstract
This study focused on investigating the impact of incorporating emerging technologies into the context of basic education, with an emphasis on areas such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality and gamification. The overall aim of this research was to thoroughly analyze how these technological innovations are influencing teaching and learning methods, while identifying the challenges inherent in their implementation. To achieve this, a methodological approach comprising a literature review and the analysis of relevant case studies was adopted. The results obtained revealed that emerging technologies have the potential to revolutionize education, making it more personalized and interactive, as well as developing skills pertinent to the 21st century. However, they also identified significant obstacles, such as the lack of adequate infrastructure in educational institutions and the need for teacher training. The final conclusions of this study highlighted the importance of effective public policies and substantial government investment to support the successful integration of emerging technologies into basic education. Therefore, the future of education in line with these advanced technologies is promising, provided that pressing issues such as those mentioned above are resolved. Improving infrastructure and training educators are key to ensuring that technological innovations can truly transform basic education, benefiting both students and teachers.
Emerging technologies can revolutionize education by making it more personalized and interactive, but require adequate infrastructure and teacher training for successful integration.
