Abstract
An efficient method using 1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin as brominating agent for 6-Amino-5-bromoquinoxaline was provided. The optimum conditions were investigated when 1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin,N-Bromosuccinimide and bromine were used as brominating agents.Under the optimum conditions,n(1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin)∶n(6-Aminoquinoxaline)=1.0∶2.0,reaction temperature 20 ℃,CH2Cl2 as solvent and reaction time 2 h,the bromination yield can reach 97.6%.This method has many advantages, such as mild conditions, concise route and high yield without impurity. The experiment of 10 kilogram-scale has also tested performed.
This efficient method using 1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin as brominating agent for 6-Amino-5-bromoquinoxaline provides mild conditions, a concise route, and high yield without impurities at 97.6%.
