Abstract
2-Arylbenzothiazoles are a novel class of potent and selective antitumor agents which have strong inhibitory activity against a range of tumor cell lines. These compounds are currently the subject of intense interest in many laboratories, because of their extremely interesting antitumor profile of activity and unique mechanism of action [1–3]. Many benzothiazole derivatives also have antimycotic, antimycobacterial, and bacteriostatic properties [4, 5].
2-Phenylbenzothiazoles show promising antitumor activity and potential antimycotic, antimycobacterial, and bacteriostatic properties, making them a promising class of bioactive compounds for cancer treatment.
