Abstract
Training and Development serves as a vital functional area under the huge umbrella of Human Resources. The main onus of identifying the training needs aligned with an individual's expectations is the most vital aspect. The development programmes are implemented in various stages as per the needs analysis and various implementation levels. The development programs are implemented stage-wise. The stages are given by Kirkpatrick's Training Evaluation Model. The research paper highlights the calculation of Return on Investment of the development programs. The cost-benefit analysis is made to calculate ROI of various development programs. As per the Kirkpatrick's Stages namely Reaction, Learning, Behaviour, Results and Evaluation. The Evaluation stage focuses on quantifying the benefits obtained.
Employee development programs can provide significant Return on Investment (ROI) through cost-benefit analysis, as shown by the Kirkpatrick's Training Evaluation Model.
