Abstract

Organizations around the world focus more on performance, in particular with their stakeholders and customers expectations. Even though one of the significant determinant of operational performance is strategy planning. The main objective of this research is to examine the impact of strategy planning including vision, mission, and goals on perational performance in the context of public sector in the UAE. The data was collected from 372 employees in public sector in the UAE, analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) via SmartPLS 3.0. The results proved that there is a significant impact of the three components of strategic planning on operational performance. The proposed model explained 25.3% of the variance in operational performance.
