Abstract
Objective:To investigate the mechanism of Potassium Nitrate treating concretion. Methods:On the basis of clinical practice of ancient and modern TCM, using the elementary knowledge of modern chemistry and physiology. Results:Potassium nitrate can influence the exchange of K +-Na + and H +-Na +, make the exchange of K +-H + rising, clear away the urea, reduce damage of urethra, inhibit the formation of concretion base, produce salt and diuresis effect. Conclusion:Potassium nitrate has the effect of inhibiting the formation of concretion base, promoting the dissolve of concretion, increasing the impetus of removing the concretion.
Potassium nitrate effectively treats concretion by inhibiting concretion formation, promoting dissolution, and increasing the impetus for removing the concretion.
