In the presence of Pd/C catalyst,1,2-bis-(o-aminophenoxy)ethane was prepared from 1,2-bis-(o-nitrophenoxy)ethane by means of catalytic hydrogenation.The primary factors affecting the reaction were discussed.The optimum conditions were determined by orthogonal experiments,the purity was 99.6% and the yield was up to 90%.

Catalytic hydrogenation with Pd/C catalyst effectively prepares 1,2-bis-(o-aminophenoxy)ethane from 1,2-bis-(o-nitrophenoxy)ethane with a purity of 99.6% and yield of up to 90%.
