Abstract
Low-code and no-code development platforms have emerged as instrumental tools in expediting software development, catering to individuals with limited or no traditional coding expertise. Irrespective of the programming language or platform used, thorough testing remains imperative for all applications. Consequently, quality assurance practices hold significant relevance in the context of low-code/no-code development. This study endeavors to scrutinize quality assurance practices concerning the assessment of reliability, security, and performance in low-code/no-code applications. It also strives to elucidate prevailing quality assurance procedures within the low-code/no-codedevelopment landscape while shedding light on the encountered challenges within existing implementation platforms. The research adopts a qualitative approach, involving the distribution of surveys among IT professionals, aimed at identifying the most efficient low-code/no-code development platform. The findings from the survey responses underscore the prominence of Microsoft Power Apps, with 45% of users endorsing it as their preferred low-code/no-code development platform.
Quality assurance practices are crucial for low-code/no-code development, with Microsoft Power Apps being the most preferred platform, 45% of users recommending it.
