Abstract
The ammonolysis of 1,2-bis(methyldichlorosilyl)ethane leads to the formation of a cross-linked polymer and a low-molecular tricyclic compound, while aminolysis leads to the formation of either low-molecular cyclic or linear compounds, depending on the amine used.
