1-n-pentyl-3,5-dihydroxybenzene was an important physiological activity compound and also could be used to synthesize cannabinoids for pain,sedation,anti-inflammatory,aid-digestion and anti-high blood pressure.It had broad application prospects.This review described synthetic methods of 1-n-pentyl-3,5-dihydroxybenzene and compares both virtue and shortcoming.

1-n-pentyl-3,5-dihydroxybenzene (Olivetol) has potential applications in pain relief, sedation, anti-inflammatory, aid-digestion, and anti-high blood pressure due to its physiological activity and wide application prospects.
