In the flame spray pyrolysis process, 2-ethylhexanoic acid manipulates morphology of Yb3+/Ho3+ co-doped Y2O3 upconversion nanoparticles towards homogeneous and ultrafine but causing upconversion luminescence quenching and thermal sensitivity lowering.
