Abstract
3-Fluoro-4-nitrophenol was synthesized from 2,4-difluoronitrobenzene by the methoxylation and demethylation.The influencing factor of the reaction was studied: the monosubstitued fluoro-nitroanisole was synthesized with mole ratio of sodium methoxide and 2,4-difluoronitrobenzene was 1:1,refluexing reaction time 4h in methanol;3-fuoro-4-nitrophenol was synthesized with mole ratio of aluminium chloride and monosubstitued fluoro-nitroanisole was 2.5:1,refluexing reaction time 10h in benzene,and purified by steam distillation.The toal yield was 38.7% and the purity was 99.5%.,The structure of 3-fuoro-4-nitrophenol was characterized by IR and1HNMR.
3-Fluoro-4-nitrophenol can be synthesized from 2,4-difluoronitrobenzene with a yield of 38.7% and purity of 99.5%, offering potential applications in organic synthesis and pharmaceuticals.
