Abstract
In this work, succinimidinium hydrogensulfate ([H-Suc]HSO_4), a newly reported Brönsted acidic ionic liquid, is used as an efficient and reusable catalyst in the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzimidazo[2,1-b]quinazolin-1(2H)-ones, 1-(benzothiazolylamino)phenylmethyl-2-naphthols, 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthenes and bis(indolyl)methanes. All reactions were performed during relatively short reaction times with excellent yields. The structures of the products were characterized by IR, ^1H NMR and ^13C NMR spectroscopy and confirmed by comparison authentic samples.
