1,1,7-Trichloro-1-heptene-3-one is an important intermediate of the pyrazole herbicides.The intermadiate 5-chlorovaleryl chloride is obtained via hydrolysis and acylation using 5-chloroamyl nitrile as the starting material.The 1,1,7-trichloro-1-heptene-3-one is synthesized through addition reaction with 1,1-dichloroethylene and elimination reaction.The purity of product is more than 99%,and the yield is 85.9%.The product is confirmed by infrared spectroscopy and 1H NMR.
