1-Bromo-2,4-dinitrobenzene,used as the intermediate of medicinal and pharmaceutical agents,organic dyes,organic electroluminescent material,was synthesized from bromobenzene by nitration in water.The yield of 1-bromo-2,4-dinitrobenzene reached 94.8% and the product purity was higher than 99.0%.The structure of target product was characterized by IR and NMR spectrometry.

1-Bromo-2,4-dinitrobenzene can be synthesized with high yield and purity, making it useful for medicinal and pharmaceutical agents, organic dyes, and electroluminescent materials.
