Abstract
4-Amino-2-(trifluoromethyl)benzonitrile,an intermediate for the synthesis of bicalutamide, was synthesized from m-fluoro-(trifluoromethyl)benzene via bromination,Grignard reaction, cyanidation and amination in overall yield of 49.2%.Its structure was confirmed by MS,IR and 1H NMR.In summary,an environmentally friendly practical method has been developed.
