Abstract
4-benzyloxy-2-methoxybenzaldehyde was synthesized from 3-methoxyphenol via O-alkylation reaction and Vilsmeier-Hack(V-H) reaction. The overall yield of the target product was 82.26%.The optimum reaction conditions were as follows:the catalyst was TBAB;reaction time was 3 h;n(m-benzyloxyanisole)∶n(DMF)∶ n(POCl3)=1∶1.5∶2;V-H reaction temperature was 70—75℃;synthesized V-H reagent time was 1.5 h;the holding time was 3 h.
